Facebook launched a super improved android app which is twice as faster then the previous one and performance is matchless.Facebook on the android and Apple Phones was terribly slow and sometimes came up buggy. As many of the companies making android phones, so according to Mike Shaver (Facebook mobile engineering director):
“There’s a recombinational explosion of Android devices, base operating systems, carrier customizations and other things that play into this,"
But he added further,
“But that also means its a broad opportunity to improve Facebook’s global reach.”
So, like its iOS counterpart, Facebook built the new
Android app from the ground upagain, this time using native Android code. Among the improvements, you’ll notice the app launch faster, and photos and News Feed will move speedier than before.
They built this app from the ground up and tried to improve the speed and performance, you will notice your news feed loads quickly, you timeline pop out just as you want to and photos opens quickly so that you can comment or like. Furthermore, a story bar is added so that without refreshing you can see more stories.
