Latest HTC M7 flagship phone rumours

htc m7

The HTC M7 is an unannounced flagship smartphone, but its creators don't seem to find any and all information about it making its way to the web. From the jubilant CEO that produced the M7 at a year-end party to some rather detailed pictures and screenshots, we've seen a lot of the new phone. Where Samsung and Apple are 'doubling down' on secrecy, HTC don't really seem to mind!
The latest information is the last piece of the puzzle: the price and release date for Europe. The news, which comes via FrAndroid, is that the HTC M7 will be released in Europe on March 8th - just over one month from today. Interestingly, the phone will be sold as its codename - M7 - instead of using any new branding (as was the case with the HTC One X, which was called the Endeavour initially).

We also know the price of the new phone. At €650, this is not an inexpensive device, but we may see more reasonable prices from major carriers. That's equivalent to $879 or £560, but the tax differences between countries often make the price more than a simple conversion.

The same ad also lists the specifications for the smartphone - namely a 4.7" Full HD display (of unparalleled pixel density), a 1.7 GHz Snapdragon S4 quad-core processor, 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage with micro SD. All of this, and a 13 megapixel rear camera, will run on a 2300 mAh battery. Connectivity is also good, with 4G LTE and NFC on the cards. The OS will be Android Jelly Bean, with Sense 5.

The HTC M7 is expected to be announced on February 19th in New York City, so we'll have official confirmation of all of the above then.

What do you think of the new phone? Let us know in the comments below. Thanks for reading and have a very fine day indeed!
